This 60mm Version should be combined with a 105mm piston rod or otherwise has to be machined to suit. The longer rod has the advantage of a better angle to the big end
bearing, a lower primary compression ratio and better flow area at the port
transfers in the engine casing.
The 60mm bore and 51mm stroke give a massive engine capacity of 144cc! The engine casings have to be machined at cylinder mouth to give room for the residual thickness of the cylinder. The port timings with the five, massive ports ( 4 transfer ports, one boost port) are: transfer ports 130°, exhaust port 190°, blow-down 30°. Normally, NKG B9ES or Bosch W3CC spark plugs are used.
The exhaust port is bridged, creating two separate exhaust windows, also referred to as a
“butterfly port” .Our racing team recommends the check of the exhaust port’s bridge height just to be safe and sometimes this must be minimally changed.
Can be combined with the vespatronic, parmakit ignition, or our special PK flywheel, other flywheels might need to be milled down a little at the backside to clear the cylinder.
The cylinder kit can be combined with a lot of exhausts and carbs. Our racing team recommends the use of bgm 24-30 mm PWK carbs, the excellent Keihin PWMs or Mikuni-carbs.
On some frames trimming of the carb hole in the frame is necessary. Fits with parmakit and vespatronic ignitions, on some others the fly wheel needs to be trimmed to clear the cylinder
