With this conversion kit you can easily convert the easily available Vespa PK XL2 engines with single rod gear change to the classic two-cable layout of the Vespa PK S and XL1. This offers a whole new range of cheap and good engines for tuning and restoration.
No special tools are necessary except a power drill, M5 thread cutter and a circlip plier.
Simply remove the old switch unit, fit the new M5 holes with threads for the cables and screw the new unit in.
The plastic cap can be retained, but must be modified.
Further advantages are the more exact gear change thanks to the more accurate machining, and wear is limited because of higher grade materials used.
