Description


Pinasco aluminium tuning cylinder with 225cc capacity for the popular Vespa GS160 and SS180 models.

Based on the proven tuning cylinder for the PX200, Pinasco is the only manufacturer to offer a conversion cylinder for the direct intake engines of the GS/SS models. The channel design of the cylinder is based on that of the original PX200 cylinder, but has been extended by so-called finger ports (exposed additional overflow channels). The cylinder thus achieves good performance and torque values, which further improve the already well drivable engine. The aluminium provides a good heat dissipation, the carbide coating of the cylinder track ensures a high wear resistance and a very long life time of the cylinder.
Compared to the original cylinder, the cylinder has a diaphragm controlled, automatically regulated inlet. It is therefore independent of the former piston control and can therefore run even more efficiently, economically and powerfully.

The cylinder can either be driven with the original carburettor or optionally with an SI carburettor as used in the conventional PX series (available up to Ø28mm diameter). The cylinder can be used without any modifications to the engine, except the exhaust. A special piston pin bearing is included for engines with 16mm eye (GS160 models of the second series and SS180 models). This allows the Ø15mm piston pin to be used in these crankshafts as well. As exhaust the type for the PX200 models can be used. However, it must be slightly modified at the bracket (remove one of two brackets)
