The Pinasco SI28 ER has a passage of Ø=28mm. This gives it 36% more suction surface than a conventional SI24, on which the design of the SI28 ER is based. The body is slightly larger, but the tuning parts can be taken from the original Dell'Orto/Spaco SI types, except the air filter. The float chamber is 5mm higher to prevent slimming on powerful engines. The generally enlarged petrol holes in the carburettor serve the same purpose.

SI-typically the basic tuning is set via air nozzle and mixing tube, the fine tuning is done via secondary nozzle, main nozzle and the air filter.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Only suitable for PX Lusso carburetor sump
Original air filter not suitable (diameter of air inlet + idle screw at another position)
Mixing screw is not aligned with the hole in the tub (shorten and slit the screw)

The SI28 ER is not intended for vehicles with separate lubrication. On models with oil pump the mixture itself must be premixed in the fuel tank. It is recommended to adjust the carburettor sump to the larger diameter. Enclosed are extended M7 studs with shaft nuts. These replace the original studs or the hexagon socket studs used from 1984 onwards.
