Heidenau also offers the K58 in the SnowTex version as a winter tyre.

A specially prepared tyre tread in which textile fibres are incorporated ensures the necessary grip in slippery conditions. An effect that cannot be achieved by rubber alone.

The Snowtex should be run in for approx. 300-600km under normal road conditions, where the textile fibres worked into the tread come out of the tread. This special winter tyre should be used about 4 weeks before the start of winter. It is not recommended to use it in spring or summer because of the increased wear and tear.

It is recommended to purchase a second set of rims, as with passenger car winter tyres, so that the Snowtex winter tyres are ready for use at the onset of winter.
