Complete revision set for the fork swing arm of the Vespa large frame models with 10 inch tyres from approx. 1966 onwards, thus suitable for e.g. Vespa Rally180 (VSD1T), Rally200 (VSE1T), Sprint150 (VLB1T), TS125 (VNL3T), GT125 (VNL2T), GTR125 (VNL2T), GL150 (VLA1T)

The set contains all parts needed for a complete revision, except for the brake pads and lubricants (see accessories).

STECHNICAL UPGRADE

The set contains, compared to the factory design, a double-encapsulated ball bearing on the wheel side. This is provided with a lifetime grease filling.

The use of an encapsulated bearing has several advantages:

  • The shaft sealing ring is omitted = less friction
  • No grease (if the shaft sealing ring is defective) can get into the brake
  • The bearing cannot run dry

On the swing arm side we use a ball bearing with slightly increased lateral clearance (C3). This allows the front wheel axle to run smoothly without any play. The bearing clearance allows a tension-free mounting of the axle. If a bearing without clearance is used here, as originally, the axle is always slightly clamped and increases the rolling resistance and the load on the bearing considerably.

  • 1x Seeger ring -BOHRUNG DIN472- Ø=40mm - (used for wheel bearings in swing arm)
  • 1x ball bearing with bearing clearance C3, used for front wheel axle/swingarm
  • 1x ball bearing (encapsulated on both sides) used for front wheel axle/swingarm
  • 1x nut front wheel axle right (swingarm side) - SW22, H=8,7mm
  • 1x spacer washer for safety cap bearing front wheel axle
  • 1x swingarm bearing set incl. bolt, needle bearing, spacer washers
  • 1x speedometer worm set - 9 teeth, l=44mm, 2,7mm square
  • 1x swing arm bearing axle
  • 1x safety cap - nut front wheel bearing
  • 1x spring bracket set (incl.(incl. spring plate and grease nipple) for front shock absorber spring, lower fork/swingarm
