BGM PRO tank cap gasket made of high quality and ethanol resistant (E10) FKM/Viton®*
suitable for all Vespa Largeframe before 1984 and Wideframe
WHY FKM/VITON®
The material FKM (fluorocarbon rubber) is extremely resistant to heat, friction and especially fuel/ethanol. In Germany, current premium fuel per se already contains up to 5% ethanol admixture. In other countries, the ethanol/alcohol content is significantly higher. Conventional seals can swell or soften on contact with ethanol-containing fuels. The BGM PRO FKM/Viton® gasket, on the other hand, offers perfect protection. In addition, Viton® has very good gas impermeability compared with conventional sealing materials and is also highly resistant to aging.
REVERSE TYPE
In addition to the high-quality material, the BGM PRO gasket is also designed for rotated installation. The gasket is installed in the tank opening, not in the tank cap. This gives two advantages:
The rubber can no longer fall out of the cap
The rubber provides a higher sealing edge, the tank surface remains clean during refueling
