Reinforced starter freewheel without starter ring gear from Naraku. For original and tuned scooters with Minarelli based engines from Chinese production (1E40QMB) like CPI, Keeway, Generic etc. On performance upgraded scooters this component is usually the first defective in the starting mechanism. Due to increased compression the starter mechanism is exposed to stronger forces than usual.
In the starter freewheel there is a transport lock in the form of a metal ring (Figure 2). This prevents the rollers from coming loose from the freewheel. This metal ring must be removed before mounting the starter ring gear!
