The 200cc Stage 4 cylinder comes from India and is manufactured there as standard with the Stage 4 specification. This means that the timing and cross sections have been optimised without sacrificing everyday practicality.

Despite its slightly sportier design compared to an original cylinder, it still offers a bear power from the rev cellar. This makes it ideal for building a stable touring engine. In combination with a 24mm carburetor and a Clubman exhaust, the engine offers a respectable performance (even with Clubman the engine turns up to 8000 rpm), which allows a cruising speed of about 110kmh.

The engine offers enough power to pull a long SX200 transmission. If you like it a little bit more sporty, you can also use a 30mm carburetor without any problems. If a sport exhaust like a JL is used, even a Stage 4 cylinder is not too far away from the 14kW mark.

All this at a very fair price, which does not overtax even the small purse. After all, the Stage 4 cylinder runs without any problems with an original 22mm carburettor and original exhaust. In any case, we recommend the Indian cylinder head, which is specifically made for this cylinder. It offers the substantially better material, as well as an adapted compression.

In the deposited diagram you see beautifully, how the cylinder grows with the stages of development. Red is the reference run of a completely original Indian 200 cc Stage4 engine. The green curve is the Indian Stage4 with 60 mm shaft, 25 PHBL carburettor and Casa Lambretta Clubman. Blue is the indian Stage4 with revised timing, bgm PWK 24 carburetor and AF Clubman exhaust.
