The shafts are manufactured by the Italian quality manufacturer TAMENI. The aerodynamically designed cheeks provide a good basis for a sporty engine based on the PX80.
NOTE FOR RACING CURVES WITH PX80
PX80 engines have a significantly shorter stroke than the PX125-PX200 models.
This makes them much more sensitive to the extended intake control angles of so-called racing crankshafts. Start problems as well as a classic drowning at high load and low revs can only be avoided with a longer intake travel/ intake manifold together with a different carburettor type. Therefore we recommend to use the TAMENI racing crankshaft only with a larger cylinder with a larger carburettor on a long intake manifold.
Alternatively BGM offers crankshafts with a shorter steering angle, like the original Piaggio crankshaft. These are even available in a version with 3mm more stroke, which means that even small engines can achieve a significant increase in performance. All of this without sacrificing the practical and inconspicuous original Dell'Orto SI carburettor.
Delivery includes upper connecting rod bearing. New crankshaft bearings and Simmerrings can also be ordered if required. Installation tools and complete engine revision kits for easy and damage-free installation available in the shop.
Adjust and check carburettor setting after installation!
