Description

The LeoVince Evolution II exhaust series pursues a new concept that combines the use of the silencer for both road and sports use.
By removing the inner tailpipe the flow and damping ratio of the silencer changes and the silencer can therefore be used as a sport and racing silencer.

The inner pipe (dB-Killer or db-eater), which is necessary for the approval, can be removed in a few minutes and just as easy to put in again later.

Deriving from the Super-Bike technology, the muffler is manufactured from the finest materials and on the most modern machines, allowing a weight reduction of almost 3kg compared to its series counterpart. 3kg less, which is already noticeable in the significantly improved damping behaviour. The influence of the unsprung masses, which include the exhaust, has a major impact on the handling characteristics. From that the damper offers beside its very nice optical presence a fine racing acoustic note, without being on the road illegally.

This allows you to do a permitted sound tuning on your vehicle with a few simple steps. But if you remove the noise reducing inner pipe (db-eater), the trumpets from Jericho are more of an ear candy compared to what can come out of such a scooter exhaust. Therefore the use without the db-eater is more for the racetrack than for serious road use.

NOTE for vehicles from 125cc with homologation date after 01.01.2006: These may only be used with a regulated catalytic converter.
If this is removed, the type approval expires.
Vehicles with Euro3 standard can be recognized by the embossed test marks on the original exhaust system:

The last two circled numbers are decisive here.

The 5 confirms the homologation for a Euro3 tested vehicle.
The 9 confirms the compliance with the noise limits.

Many manufacturers of aftermarket and sports exhaust systems limit themselves only to the approval of the rear silencer with regard to the noise values (9).
These are only legally usable in road traffic in connection with an optional catalytic converter. The insert catalytic converter then has the marking (5)

Remus and Akrapovic offer their systems with optional catalytic converter insert. This means that they are approved as a fully-fledged replacement and conform to the approval.

Malossi and LeoVince do not currently offer this option.
This means that these systems are equipped without a catalytic converter, the manufacturers do not offer retrofit kits (as of 11.2014) and are therefore not officially approved for operation on vehicles with a homologation as of 01.01.2006 (Euro3).

How do I recognize which emission standard my scooter has?
Euro3 vehicles can be recognized by the fact that they:
- necessarily an injection (i.E.)
- use a regulated catalytic converter with lambda sensor
.

The key numbers in the vehicle registration document provide the most reliable information:
Euro1 and Euro2
Old vehicle registration document: number 1,2 Key: 00, 09, 10
New vehicle registration document: number 14.1 key 020, 029 or 0210
Euro3
New registration document: number 14.1 key 0212

Note: The original chassis of the Vespa GT/GTS models is very softly tuned. A sports exhaust can therefore graze the fairing when the suspension is strongly compressed. This can be remedied by a conversion to better tuned sport dampers, e.g. from BGM (see accessories).

Die Muttern an den carbonschellen halten nicht lange. Diese sind nur punktuell angeschweißt. Ansonsten Top Auspuff!!!
