The power delivery is very close to the well-known PM68 exhaust.
As with the PM68 exhaust, the many technical refinements have been applied to the PM80, the most striking being the 360° elbow which ensures the correct exhaust length of the entire system. The high degree of development of the PM systems is also shown by the fact that the exhaust can be run plug & play, i.e. without any further tuning work. Nevertheless, the Scomadi exhaust offers a perfect throttle response and increases the performance by almost 2HP over the whole power band of the engine. The exhaust is handcrafted from polished stainless steel, is considerably lighter than its series counterpart and convinces with the chic design of a two-stroke system, paired with the grandiose sound of a large-volume four-stroke engine. The CNC machined, gold anodised aluminium bracket helps to reduce weight and reduces the unsprung masses of the engine, thus improving the handling of the scooter, even if only to a small extent.
The PM80 Scomadi Replica has a built-in DB Eater, i.e. a noise-reducing insert in the exhaust, similar to the so-called flute as it used to be in the moped exhaust. Here and there by removing it, a lot of noise is generated which will make unpleasant neighbours stand in front of the door very quickly. Since this does not increase the performance, we advise against this sound tuning, the Scomadi is already in series trim no whisperer.
Unfortunately, the Scomadi exhaust has no approval and would therefore have to be approved in a single acceptance by the TÜV. Expertises or other documents that would facilitate this are unfortunately not available.
