Description
Large leg shield repair plate incl. bottom plate / kick plate for Vespa PX models.
The well-fitting sheet is 'made by grabor' in Italy.
With this spare part a Vespa PX frame can be professionally repaired again. For assembly, the old leg shield must be removed. The easiest way to do this is to use a thin cutting disc to remove the leg shield along the frame tunnel. Then the welding points can be drilled and the plate can be removed from the frame tunnel with the help of a serrated lock washer.
The leg shield is supplied unpainted but oiled.
The leg shield corresponds in its design to that of the PX models from 1984 (Lusso models). So the brake pedal cutout has a square profile. Also, the recesses for the bushings of the cable harness are more generous than those of the models up to 1984. If the repair plate is to be used for vehicles before 1984, there are two holes for the cable box of the PX old models as well as two small rectangular recesses for mounting the upper half of the cascade.
The leg shield does not contain holes for lettering.

TIP: We recommend before each painting once the scooter in the raw state to assemble, a so-called dry-build. Here, any necessary adjustment work can be done quickly and easily without damaging the new paint. Then the assembly of the freshly painted parts makes twice the fun!
