Description
Castrol Classic XL30 is a high quality SAE140 monograde oil. Formulated with high quality mineral oils and carefully selected additives, it is ideal for classic car and motorcycle engines. It contains additives to prevent varnishing, provide good wear protection and prevent sludge formation.

Castrol Classic D 140 Monograde API GL 3 is a high viscosity gear oil formulated with a base of premium mineral oils. It is equipped with antioxidant and anti-wear additives. These ensure that the oil withstands the oxidizing conditions present in gearboxes / axles during operation and to ensure that gear teeth are protected against wear.
Castrol Classic D 140 Monograde API GL 3 gear oil is suitable for lubricating most types of gears, including spur, bevel and worm gears. However, it must not be used for hypoid gears where API GL-4 or GL-5 gear oils are recommended. The high viscosity and the nature of the additive system make it particularly suitable for use in older vehicles where age-related wear has already occurred. It is also excellent for vehicles built before about 1960, in which components made of copper alloys were used.
Important !!!
Castrol Classic D 140 Monograde API GL 3 gear oil is not suitable for use in hypoid gears in which a high-pressure oil API GL 4 or API GL 5 is intended.
Here we recommend the use of Castrol Classic EP 90 Extreme Pressure or Castrol Classic EP 140 Extreme Pressure gear oil.
