The Polini Box Exhaust is a very good alternative to the well known but outdated SIP Road. The Polini outperforms this over the entire rev range, both in power and torque. The early and high torque application makes the Polini Box the ideal touring companion. The well thought-out design of the Polini exhaust allows the low and pleasant noise level of the system to be maintained permanently.
The Polini Box is slightly wider for more volume, but no higher than an original exhaust. This makes it a good choice even for vehicles with low ground clearance (rally, sprint and all with 8 inch tyres such as VBB,VNB...).
The quality and fit is good, even the exhaust paint on the manifold lasts longer than average. Harmonises very well with Polini 210/221 and Malossi 210 Sport cylinders.
TIP: Carb jetting compared to a SIP Road select 2-3 sizes bigger
NOTE: The exhaust was explicitly designed for the PX models. On older vehicles built before the PX series it is possible that the stop plate of the main stand touches the manifold. Either modify this accordingly or check whether a distance piece that is too long has been fitted between the shock absorber and the frame (Sprint/Rally = 26mm). On the 125-150 ccm engines of Sprint, VBB etc. the engine block should also be provided with a hole for a continuous exhaust screw. Otherwise the exhaust will only hang from the rear flap. This alone is not sufficient in the long run and can tear it off.(DL_DE)
