If you want to replace the bearings of your swing arm or if you have to disassemble your fork (e.g. for chrome plating), you will need new bearings including axle. Basically you can distinguish between the old and the new fork types. The old type of fork, with separate suspension and damping as used in Rally and Sprint models, is usually equipped with grease nipples (good old times...), but is nevertheless often worn out. The reason is mostly the not regularly performed "lubrication service" ,as well as the only weak sealing against splash water. The new fork type, as it is used in the PX, PK, T5 and the Cosa, is very well sealed, but cannot be repaired with "on-board equipment" if the bearing is defective. This is only possible with a powerful press.
