Introduction

Aprilia Mojito 125 Custom (2003–2007, ZD4RY)

The Aprilia Mojito 125 Custom is a stylish retro scooter from the Italian manufacturer Aprilia, produced between 2003 and 2007. As the successor to the Habana 125 Custom, it combines classic styling with modern technology and appeals to riders seeking an elegant urban vehicle with character.
With its distinctive design, plenty of chrome, flowing lines, and low seat height, the Mojito 125 Custom is ideal for style-conscious city riders who value comfort, looks, and user-friendliness in a compact scooter.

Model History

The Mojito series was introduced in 2003 as the successor to the Habana line. It retained the retro concept but featured updates in styling, engineering, and equipment. The Mojito 125 Custom kept the cruiser-style appearance with its low handlebar and chrome accents but gained more refined lines and enhanced details.
After Aprilia was acquired by Piaggio in 2004, the Mojito 125 remained in production and found popularity across Europe, particularly among A1 license holders who appreciated its aesthetics and practicality.

Technical Details

The Aprilia Mojito 125 Custom is powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine with 124 cc displacement. The engine delivers around 10 hp (7.5 kW) at 8,500 rpm and is fueled via a carburetor. Power is transmitted through a continuously variable transmission (CVT), ensuring smooth and easy operation in urban traffic.
Top speed is approximately 90 km/h. The steel tube frame provides structural stability. Suspension includes a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock swingarm at the rear. The braking system consists of a front disc brake (Ø approx. 220 mm) and a rear drum brake. Dry weight is about 110 kg and the fuel tank holds around 7 liters.

Color Options and Accessories

The Mojito 125 Custom was available in several elegant colors, including black, ivory white, metallic red, and pastel blue. Its vintage character was highlighted by thoughtful details like round headlights, abundant chrome, and a deep, comfortable seat.
No official special editions are documented, but a wide range of accessories was available: chrome luggage racks, windshields, top cases, and dealer-installed editions. This allowed riders to customize the Mojito 125 Custom to suit both their visual preferences and functional needs – for city use or relaxing weekend rides.
