The BUZZWANGLE Tool is designed to determine the ignition timing and the control angle of a two-stroke engine in a very simple way. The tool measures 360° with a resolution of 0.1 degree. This is ten times more accurate than with a conventional degree wheel!

The kit consists of a screw adapter for the most common pole wheel threads. The magnetic Buzzwangle Tool is mounted on this adapter.

  • "L" M27x1.25 - suitable for LAMBRETTA Innocenti (models LI, LIS, SX, TV, DL, GP, J, Lui, A, B, C, LC, D and LD) as well as MZ vehicles
  • "V" M28x1.0 - suitable for almost all Vespa Largeframe and Smallframe engines with pole wheel threads. Also for Piaggio/Gilera 125-180ccm Maximotoren as well as Vape ignitions.
  • "VT " M27x1.0 - suitably for Vespatronic retrofit ignitions. Also suitable for many classic 2-stroke motorcycles e.g. GAS GAS motorcycles and Honda's with Kokusan ignition.
  • "P" M24x1.0 - suitable for Parmakit retrofit ignitions , also suitable for 50ccm engines from Kymco, MBK, Peugeot, Honda and Yamaha/MBK (Minarelli)

To do this, screw the piston stopper into the spark plug thread and turn the piston with the pole wheel against the stop. Now turn the pole wheel in the opposite direction until it runs against the stop of the piston stopper again. SET TIME OF FIRING TIME MARKINGS
If the top dead centre is determined, a corresponding mark is made on the pole wheel and the motor housing. The BUZZWANGLE is now set to '0' and by turning the polewheel the number of degrees before the top dead centre is displayed. When the desired value is reached, the final mark is made on the motor housing to flash off. To do this, simply transfer the previously set marking of the top dead center on the pole wheel to the motor housing. Now this marking can be checked with a stroboscopic flash lamp while the engine is running and if necessary the ignition setting can be corrected until the marking on the pole wheel and the engine housing match.

DETERMINE TAX ANGLE
To do this, place the BUZZWANGLE on the adapter, block the channel to be measured for the piston with a thin sheet of a feeler gauge and set the tool to '0'. The tool now shows the exact control angle of the measured channel (minus the distance the blade of the feeler gauge has blocked).
