Description
Sport exhaust VMC Siluro for Vespa Smallframe 133-180cc - black.
VMC has designed the SILURO (Italian for torpedo), a modern version of the popular standard exhaust of the legendary Vespa SS50/90 models. It has been enlarged and, thanks to its design with diverging manifold, has attitudes of a genuine sports exhaust.
The look is therefore also perfect for rather original left Vespa, but the performance values are really worth seeing.
The SILURO is classically manufactured from pressed steel sheets and has a mechanical internal noise insulation (baffle plates). With a flange diameter of Ø32mm as well as a distance for the mounting studs of 52-60mm it is perfectly suitable for all modern high performance cylinders. So it can be combined with a conventional Polini 133 just as well as with a Quattrini from the M1 series (M1 56-60, M160B, M1L 56-60). It also performs very well on the EGIG 170/180 cylinders as well as the current VMC ET6/ET7 144cc cylinders.
The SILURO Sport is consistently designed for high performance. It can therefore also reach five-digit speeds, but is then also not as quiet as a conventional 'banana' exhaust such as a Sito. Alternatively to the sport version, there is a touring version which has a little less power but is also much quieter.
The exhaust fits all V50, PV, ET3 models, even those with luggage compartment in the side hood. Only early PV models (VMA1T before 1976) have a deeper Geäckfach whereby the exhaust does not fit here. For mounting on Vespa PK models, the partition (which holds the spare wheel) must be partially removed.
