BGM PRO SILENT RUBBERS FOR MOTOVESPA ENGINE CASES
The engine cases of the Motovespa Largeframe models have their own type of silent rubber for the engine crosshead. The BGM PRO silent rubbers correspond perfectly in dimensions to the original Motovespa crosshead rubbers which are no longer available.
Replaces 1:1 the original Motovespa silent rubbers in the engine case (front).

The rubber compound has been chosen (approx. 45 SHA) in accordance with the wider contact area in the engine case of the Motovespa, so that a good riding comfort is combined with precise guidance of the rear wheel. Thus, the scooter achieves a high driving safety and directional stability. Is simply exchanged 1:1 against the original silent blocks.
These are only inserted into the engine housing, but can sit quite tightly in the housing over the (mostly) decades.There are special tool sets for the de / installation of silent blocks for the engine crosshead. However, these are not necessary and are intended for use with the complex silent rubber type (with individual rubbers, sleeves and caulked metal rings) of Vespa Largeframe models with engines up to 150cc (e.g. VBB, Sprint, PX, etc.).
MOUNTING TIPS
The old original Motovespa rubbers can simply be made supple with a little heat and spray oil and then gently levered out with a screwdriver.Then clean and degrease the housing and wet the new rubbers as well as the housing with some talcum powder (do not oil). The new rubbers can then be easily driven into the housing with a plastic hammer. In stubborn cases, you can also pretension the rubbers with a threaded rod that you pass through both rubbers and let them rest for a few hours.Then even the last pretension of the rubber will settle and the motor will fit back into place without slightly spreading the frame.
