Description
The rectifier or regulator changes the AC voltage generated in the alternator to the DC voltage of 12V used in the vehicle electrical system and keeps the voltage within a certain tolerance range. This charges the battery and ensures that, for example, light bulbs do not burn out. Supplied as shown with 5 cables (2 multi-plugs).
Since this component is exposed to very high temperature loads, it is not uncommon for it to break. If the rectifier / regulator is defective, the battery is constantly empty, with certain ignition systems, the ignition system no longer works, bulbs burn out continuously or the driving lights flicker.
