Description
The motoscope mini is an extremely small, digital motorcycle instrument. The LED display, which we developed especially for it, is unique in the instrument sector. 251 ultra-bright LEDs form an almost rimless, excellently readable display surface, which can be used completely for displaying the display values. Only this innovative, elaborate technology allows maximum display area with minimum housing dimensions.
The motoscope mini fits almost any two-, three- or four-wheeler due to its very simple, elegant design and high-quality appearance. It can support the styling in an exposed position but also be integrated inconspicuously and 'clean' - everything is possible with the mini!
Housing
The high-quality aluminum housing is milled from the solid and its surface is anodized black. The highly polished version has its own charm. The electronics are completely encapsulated in the housing and thus immune to weather, water, dust and vibration.
Display and functions
The innovative dot matrix of 251 ultra-bright LEDs displays the speed by means of a scalable, horizontal luminous band and all other functions as a numerical value in an easy-to-read manner. The speed can also be called up as a numerical value at the touch of a button. To achieve optimum readability in darkness, sunlight and twilight, the luminosity of the LEDs is automatically adjusted. A speed value can be entered for the limit range of the permissible speed ('red range') or as a switching flash function. If this value is exceeded, all LEDs light up pulsatingly at the same time.
The highlight: the display of the motoscope mini can show the numerical values not only from left to right, but also from top to bottom. Therefore the instrument can also be mounted upright!
Operation
The menu button supplied or e.g. the light horn button on the handlebars is used to switch between the displays. The standard indication on the display is the speed value. The other measured values can be fetched on the display by a short keystroke if required. Optionally, it can be set that the display automatically returns to the speed value after a short time or that a specific display is fixed.
Presettings or stored values are of course saved even without power supply.
Mounting
Due to its very small dimensions, the motoscope mini can be easily mounted almost anywhere on any vehicle. Standing alone on the triple clamp or on the handlebar, in existing instrument panels or recessed in the tank or GRP - the instrument can be integrated everywhere.we offer various, suitable universal mounts as well as type-specific solutions for mounting.
Connection and sensors
The simple wiring as well as detailed installation and operating instructions make connection of the instrument possible even for users who have not previously been involved with vehicle electrics.
The supplied stainless steel speedometer sensor is very small (M5/25 mm). With the 1.5 m long connection cable, it can be easily attached to the front or rear wheel. Even vehicles with original mechanical speedometer drive can be easily converted with it.
The motoscope mini is compatible with many original speedometer sensors (reed contact and proximity sensors) of vehicle manufacturers. In this case, only connections are made and the mechanical installation of a sensor becomes unnecessary.
An intelligent 'teach function' allows easy calibration of the speedometer - even on vehicles with sensors on the transmission.
