Description


The upgrade of the Big Deps engine and the Malossi crankcase has led to a deficit in the transmission of this vehicle, to overcome which the great experience of Malossi engineers has developed a complete over-range system suitable to support the ever increasing power.

This new transmission system takes full advantage of the Malossi components already sold last year and adds some new parts that make the whole system particularly suitable for the enormous power. This new system relies on the new fixed pulley of the torque driver, which has a larger diameter and the latest specifications. The larger diameter of this pulley allows a wider speed range compared to the original pulley, which has a much smaller outer diameter.

Malossi engineers have also taken special care in the realization of this pulley, down to the smallest detail, using special materials and a particular type of thermochemical treatment that ensures exceptional surface hardness and therefore excellent wear and abrasion resistance. This new fixed pulley has been designed to offer perfect running in conjunction with the already available Malossi Torque Driver, which has the same diameter as the fixed pulley itself. In order to fully exploit the range of the new torque drive and the performance currently offered by competitive machines, a new notched special belt with a larger cross-section and revised length has been introduced to ensure maximum performance in all operating conditions.

To complete the renewal of the transmission system and take full advantage of its exceptional characteristics, the MHR Multivar variable speed drive has also been upgraded, being equipped with new tracks for the rollers, a new spring to adjust the variator and a new hub that is longer than the previous one and can therefore be combined with a more powerful belt to optimize the transmission ratios. This new variable speed drive represents the evolution of previous generations and is the result of many years of experience on the racetrack and the CADCAM technology available today, which makes it possible to achieve specifications at the highest level.

The OVER RANGE system is completed by the Fly Clutch clutch and the Malossi clutch bell Ø 107 Wing Clutch Bell.

Attention: after the installation of the Malossi Over Range it is no longer possible to start the vehicle by pushing it, special starting tool must be used (not included in the kit).

This is the great novelty of this kit: the possibility of housing a real torque converter with double sliding rails to adjust the shifting curve at will!

New pulley set consisting of fixed and movable pulley with Ø increased from 100 to 110 mm.

One-piece welded fixed and movable pulley with special surface treated bushing

Fly coupling

Clutch with Ø 107 mm, redesigned with new masses to adapt to the opposite direction of rotation.

Malossi spring clutch allows operation at a predefined optimum rpm engagement point.

Optional: 2 spring sets are available to customize your vehicle.

Wing clutch bell

Reinforced clutch bell with finned cooling ring perfectly matched to the newly developed high performance Fly Clutch. This is the only component common to the Scooter.

Primary Transmission Shaft

We have gone so far as to modify the primary transmission shaft to accommodate a pulley and clutch bell derived from the world of scooters.

This shaft, which serves as the connecting element between the newly developed components, has been strengthened by increasing the shaft diameter to 13.5 and comes with a nut, oil seal and roller shroud for assembly.
