Description
GR Gears has been manufacturing engine components (gearboxes, clutches) as well as axle and bearing components for Piaggio/LML since 1981. In many Piaggio engines you can find components manufactured by GR Gears. The quality is absolutely convincing. Since they have also proven themselves in everyday use in our own high-performance engines, they are now an integral part of our OEM delivery program.
The mainshaft shown here, like the original Piaggio one for the PX Lusso models, has the additional fine detents for the shifting cross which makes the Lusso transmissions less sensitive to the dreaded gear jumping. The shift cross is better held under load in the detent of the mainshaft. The material of the GR Gears main shaft and gears is very tough and can transmit even high power safely and permanently. The low price is only expressed in a, compared to an original gearbox, minimally higher wear when the engine can conduct significantly more than 25hp. However, we are talking about driving performance of well over 20000km. Therefore, this gearbox is unbeatable in terms of price / performance ratio.
