Some Smallframe Vespa models require a 15 Watt tail light bulb instead of the conventional 10 Watt. This is a special feature of the (among others) models with handlebar end indicators manufactured for the German market.

On these vehicles the original alternator has 3 coils and 5 cable outlets. Visually, it can hardly be distinguished from the Italian version for models without turn signals because the cable colors are identical. However, the coil assignment is different and exactly here is the reason for the changed wattage of the rear light bulb.
While on Italian vehicles coil 2 is only responsible for the excitation voltage of the ignition, on vehicles with handlebar turn signals a double coil is used here.
