Vespa 150 GL
Mit der Vespa GL 150 (VLA1T) aus dem Jahr 1963 kommt der revolutionäre und luxuriöse Nachfolger der VBB raus. Insgesamt ist die GL größer und viel kantiger ausgefallen als die VBB. Der Lenker wartet mit einem trapezförmigen Scheinwerfer auf. Auf Wunsch kann die GL direkt mit einer Sitzbank anstelle des Einzelsattels und der Gepäckbrücke geordert werden. Eine Option, die der GL sehr gut zu Gesicht steht. Das dunkle Blau von Sattel und Schriftzug passt hervorragend zum Elfenbein Lack der Karosserie (MaxMeyer Code 1.298.3909). Passend zu dem kantigeren Design ist auch das verchromte Rücklicht wesentlich eckiger geworden. Die GL kommt auf 10-Zoll-Bereifung mit den Bremstrommeln und Bremsen der GS 150 VS5 daher. Der Motor hingegen ist eine Abwandlung des VBB1T Motors, die Übersetzung ist dem geänderten Abrollumfang der Bereifung angepasst, Bohrung und Hub werden beibehalten, der Nasenkolben wird in den verdienten Ruhestand geschickt und ein gewölbter Kolben kommt zum Einsatz. Maßnahmen, die sich in einer verbesserten Elastizität nieder schlagen.
