Description

The Benelli crankshaft is very finely finished and offers the highest material quality. In contrast to the original Quattrini crankshaft, the Benelli crankshaft has three balancing weights, two of which are made of very expensive tungsten. One tungsten weight alone costs around €25.
The weights increase the overall weight of the crankshaft, which is generally very beneficial for smooth running. Furthermore, the balance factor of the crankshaft is improved and enables very smooth engine running even with the large and relatively heavy Ø72mm diameter pistons.
The intake cheek and the directly opposite cheek on the alternator side are very aerodynamically shaped and open up a large cross-section.

Benelli thus caters for all lovers of stable but powerful touring engines. The rotary valve intake is capable of generating rear wheel power of over 30 hp, but with a very quiet intake noise (compared to the diaphragm intake).
The Benelli crankshaft has a 60mm stroke and a 126mm long connecting rod.
This means that the shaft can be used for cylinders that require an extra-long connecting rod (Quattrini M232/M244, VMC 244 Explorer) or engines that have been converted with an adapter plate.
CONCLUSION: Extremely good and high-quality rotary valve crankshaft for powerful but inconspicuous/quiet street setups that should last a long time.
