BASIS
The steering tubes of the Piaggio ZIP SP/ET2/ET4 models are often adapted as an update for the chassis and brakes in the classic Vespa Smallframe models. This allows modern shock absorbers and powerful disc brakes to be used in the old models, such as V50, PV, ET3, PK.
PROBLEM
However, the rims of the Piaggio ZIP SP/ET models have a rim width of 2.50-10 inches instead of 2.10-10 inches. This results in a wider rim at the front than at the rear. This is not good for the driving dynamics, especially in racing.
SOLUTION
For this reason PLC has developed an adapter for the conversion to a classic Vespa rim with 2.10-10 inch. Thus there is no track offset and the tyre contour remains slim and therefore very easy to handle.
MOUNTING ZIP SP / ET2 /ET4 FORK
Is simply mounted on the original wheel hub of the ZIP SP/ET donor fork instead of the original automatic rim. Any Vespa 2.10-10 rim can be mounted on the PLC adapter.
ASSEMBLY PX/PK FORK
Alternatively PLC Corse offers its own CNC aluminium wheel hub, with which the adapter can also be used on the original Vespa PK, PX and Cosa forks (see accessories).
