Polini continues to fire new parts in the automatic sector, currently we have reached the latest evolutionary stage of exhaust systems for the highly competitive and prestigious 70cc sector. So now the 11 version of the Evo system is available and as always it is hard to imagine that it can go even further up. It's like the detergent commercials on TV, where everything is now even cleaner and cleaner than last year. You ask yourself rightly what kind of crap you got to buy before. Fortunately, a technical improvement can be measured and visualized on an exhaust, with a detergent it is more like believing in it...
In principle, such a two-stroke exhaust is a really nasty thing, already here one degree more or less in the cone angle, the manifold area is extended by one centimeter and already two or three hp are missing... Such an exhaust is basically a real witchcraft, if you look at it from the outside, its performance compared to a much cheaper but similarly manufactured system simply does not even show.
Even on the test bench it is very difficult to always produce the same test conditions for a comparison of two different systems. A different operating temperature alone or a different spray requirement have a massive influence on the performance and speed range. Therefore, it is often said that this or that system would not run well, but this can be put into perspective. An exhaust is only as good as the cylinder that hangs in front of it...
Fortunately the Polini men know what they are doing, so you can rely on their know-how and by combining cylinder and exhaust from the same company you can always expect a more than impressive result.
Meanwhile even the 70cc engines reach performances far beyond 20hp at the wheel.
If you consider that a lot of this performance is thermally 'blown up' in the variomatic, you are already on a level that can almost hold a 125cc GP 2-stroke engine purely from the liter performance.
Not bad for large series parts from the free sale, I would think...
