Lambretta Li 150
Series 2
Series 2 is launched in October 1959. It is advertised with slogans that are thematically aligned with the proverbial Lambrettability. Innocenti's next big commercial success was therefore inevitable and the Series 2 sold 270,000 units, more than any previous model.
A few minor changes were made to the engine and a longer cylinder with a corresponding piston was installed. All models had the same air intake for the carburetor as the late Series 1. The most obvious difference is that the headlight is now integrated into the handlebars.
The Li 125 is supplied with a single saddle, while the Li 150 also has a saddle for the passenger. The rear swinging saddle was on the list of accessories, as was a double seat. A quick look at the step-through also reveals the differences in displacement. The Li 125 has aluminum rails with a waffle pattern. The Li 150 has aluminum rails with grey rubber inserts and tread strip end pieces.
The rear light is changed during production and becomes larger. This is also the case with the horn grille. The tail light seal is still white, the rubber parts remain gray with the exception of the black kickstand feet and the kickstarter rubber.
Li - 1st version
(June 1959 to mid 1960)
Small rear light (142x 43mm), round horn grille, air filter is held in place with a nut, splash plate is secured with eight 5 mm bolts.
Li - 2nd version
(mid 1960 to January 1961)
Large rear light (130x58mm), oval horn grille, air filter is held in place with a nut. From October 1960, the splash plate is secured with two 8 mm bolts.
Li - 3rd version
(February 1961 to November 1961)
The air filter is held in place with a spring clip (like series 3).
