Polini Evolution fork for Piaggio Zip SP and Vespa Smallframe

New Polini development that improves the safety and performance of the Polini Italian Cup cars. In the open 100cc class the performance values and speeds of over 30hp /160km/h are reached. The standard fork is quickly overstrained here due to the choice of material and dimensions. This is where the Polini fork comes in and offers an extremely high stiffness due to a much more massive wall thickness.

The height of the fork can be adjusted before installation using the adapters supplied. The total weight is 1.1 kg more than the original weight of an original Piaggio ZIP SP fork and thus helps to transfer high engine power to the asphalt in a controlled manner.

A nice gimmick to make shock absorber mounting easier, especially on the race tracks, is the possibility to fix the upper retaining screws of the shock absorber retaining plate (M8) with locking pins. This way they are not pressed out of their seat during assembly. The fork is supplied with the steering stop plate. The mudguard bracket is screwed which makes it easy to remove and adapt to other mudguard models.

For easy mounting and dismounting of the original swingarm a small kit with stoppers and bolts as well as bearings is included. A sufficiently dimensioned press for the conversion is recommended. Alternatively you can use Polini's own swing arm which is very easy to assemble (art. 0502660, see also accessories).

MODIFICATION FOR VESPA SMALLFRAME
The fork can also be used in the Vespa Smallframe models with a modification of the head tube (shortening). For this purpose an adapter piece is necessary which is welded into the fork. Polini offers it separately (art. 0502656, see also accessories).
