Description


Pinasco's VTR cylinder series is based on a design of an old Eurocylinder layout with nine overflow channels, which was later also used by Angelo Zirri. Pinasco has taken this idea further and, in addition to using the thermally less critical aluminum as cylinder material, has also planned the optional use of a direct intake system with diaphragm (RD350). The piston layout has also been significantly modernized.

The Pinasco is available as a kit with a diaphragm sitting directly on the cylinder including intake port (slave) or only with a sealing plate for the direct intake system (master) without diaphragm/intake port.

The latter is then conventionally ventilated via the motor housing. The diaphragm control option offers the possibility to realize a powerful motor without reworking the motor housing / inlet. The very open piston design makes the adjustment of the overflow channels obsolete for normal applications.

Both versions are available in 57mm or 60mm stroke versions.

The rather moderate control angles at Polini level, together with an exhaust width of 60% of the bore, offer a good torque range for a powerful engine suitable for everyday use.
With extended control angles and further reworking as well as an appropriate exhaust system (for example BGM BigBox Sport) the Pinasco is suitable for power outputs in the range of 20-27HP.
