Rebuilding a Vespa VBB 150

By a stroke of luck, Nils Homann came across a beautiful Vespa VBB 150. His goal: to preserve the timeless charm of this classic while bringing it up to date technically.

In collaboration with Scooter Center , Nils documents the complete restoration of this Vespa in an exciting video series. Numerous products from our range are used - from spare parts and special tools to tuning components.

Here is an overview of the chapters so far:


Chapter 1: Disassembly and refurbishment

In this first video, Nils takes the complete Vespa apart, examines every single component and prepares everything for the next steps.



Chapter 2: Engine overhaul

The heartbeat of every Vespa: the engine. In this chapter, Nils demonstrates the complete engine overhaul. He uses high-quality seals, bearings and components from our range.


Chapter 3: Chassis and brakes

The focus is on safety and ride comfort. Nils replaces shock absorbers, tires, brake pads and rims - all with parts from Scooter Center



Chapter 4: Electrics and wiring harness

The fourth part is about the electrics. The old wiring harness is replaced with a new one, the lighting is optimized and modern components ensure reliable operation.


Chapter 5: Assembly and final details

Now it's getting exciting: all the revised and new components are back in place. Nils guides you step by step through the assembly and gives valuable tips.


Chapter 6:

This video shows the professional assembly of a Vespa engine. All the important assembly steps are explained: from the shift lever and rear brake to the clutch, ignition, pistons and cylinders to the carburetor and breather valve. Finally, the complete engine is installed and the cables fitted. A must for anyone who wants to restore or optimize their Vespa themselves.


Chapter 7:
First engine start and first horsepower measurement

In this video, the assembly of a Vespa is demonstrated step by step. From connecting the electrics and carburetor, to installing the shift cables, brakes and rear wheel, to the final work for starting the engine. A performance measurement is also carried out on the chassis dynamometer. Ideal for mechanics and Vespa fans who want to finish their Vespa themselves.
