Model History

The RX 50 (ZD4TT0) was launched in 2003 as part of Aprilia's revised 50cc enduro line-up. Compared to earlier models, it had a more angular design, improved ergonomics, and styling closer to full-size enduro bikes. Depending on the market and version, it came with different exhaust systems, forks, or rim colours. It was also used as a platform for riding schools or light off-road modifications.

Air-cooled single-cylinder 2-stroke engine with carburettor, 49 cc. Power in unrestricted version: approx. 7.0 hp at 9,000 rpm. 6-speed manual transmission with chain drive. CDI ignition, lubrication via premix or separate oil system depending on the version. Top speed derestricted: ~75 km/h. Fuel tank capacity: approx. 7 litres including reserve.

Chassis and Brakes

Tubular steel frame with bolt-on rear subframe. Conventional telescopic fork at the front. Rear: mono shock absorber with linkage and aluminium swingarm. Wheels: 21" front, 18" rear with knobby enduro tyres. Brakes: 260 mm disc at the front and 180 mm disc at the rear. Some variants featured steel braided brake lines as standard.

Colour Variants
