1. introduction

The Scooter Center is committed to ensuring the environmentally sound disposal and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with the requirements of the WEEE Directive and the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). You can be sure that we handle small electrical appliances responsibly and handle the return and disposal in accordance with applicable legal regulations.

2. Return of old appliances

You have the right to return old appliances to us free of charge. However, this only applies to electrical appliances that you have purchased from Scooter Center - please provide us with proof of purchase when returning them. You have the following options for returning your old appliances:

• On site: You can return old electrical appliances to our store at Kurt-Schumacher-Straße 1, 50129 Bergheim-Glessen.
• Shipping: For shipping orders, we take back old appliances in normal household quantities. However, you must pay the costs for the return shipment yourself.

3. your obligations as an end user

You are obliged not to dispose of your old electrical appliances with household waste, but to either return them to us or hand them in at suitable municipal collection points. This is important for the protection of the environment and the recycling of valuable resources.

4. Labeling of electrical appliances

All electrical appliances available in the Scooter Center are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out waste garbage can. This means that you must not dispose of the appliance with household waste. We will also inform you about the return options and proper disposal.

5. Recycling and reuse

The electrical appliances that you return to Scooter Center are sent to certified recycling companies for environmentally friendly disposal. Valuable raw materials are recovered and hazardous substances can be disposed of properly.

6. Data protection during disposal

Please note that your smart electrical devices, especially those with storage media (e.g. smartphones, computers, etc.), may contain personal data. We recommend that you ensure that all data has been completely deleted before returning it to prevent misuse. You are responsible for deleting the data yourself.
