Model History

The SR Max range was introduced in 2011 with the aim of establishing Aprilia in the sporty maxi scooter segment. While the SR Max 125 was designed for commuters with restricted licence categories, the SR Max 300 is built for higher speeds and longer distances.
The SR Max 300 (2011–2014, ZAPM356) follows the same design philosophy as the 125, but offers greater displacement, more torque, and stronger acceleration.
With its distinctive bodywork, sporty lines, and comfortable seating position, the model positioned itself as a competitor to vehicles such as the Yamaha X-Max 250 and the Honda Forza 300.

Technical Details

The SR Max 300 is powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with a displacement of 278 cc, equipped with electronic fuel injection.
It produces around 16.5 kW (22.5 hp) at 7,500 rpm and reaches a maximum torque of approximately 23 Nm at 6,000 rpm.
Top speed is about 140 km/h, depending on load and conditions.
Power is transmitted via a continuously variable transmission (CVT), ensuring smooth acceleration without gear changes.

Chassis and Brakes

The chassis consists of a double-cradle frame made of high-strength steel tubing, combined with a hydraulic telescopic front fork (90 mm travel) and twin hydraulic rear shock absorbers with three-stage adjustable preload.
The braking system features a front disc brake with a diameter of 260 mm and a rear disc brake with a diameter of 240 mm.
With a dry weight of around 192 kg and a wheelbase of 1,525 mm, the SR Max 300 delivers very stable handling even at higher speeds.
Tyres: 120/70-15 front and 140/60-14 rear for optimal grip and sporty handling.
