In contrast to the sportier Custom version, the Retro variant focused more on comfort, everyday usability, and elegant presentation. At that time, Aprilia was still operating independently and used this model to appeal to a broader audience with a sense of design and lifestyle – especially in Western European markets.

The Aprilia Habana/Mojito 125 Retro is equipped with an air-cooled 124 cc four-stroke engine that delivers approximately 10 hp (about 7.5 kW) at around 8,500 rpm.
