Aprilia Scarabeo 50 (2009–2017, ZD4TG)
The Aprilia Scarabeo 50 (ZD4TG) from the years 2009 to 2017 is the modernized version of the well-known 50cc large-wheel scooter from the Scarabeo series. It combines the classic appearance of the series with contemporary technology and met all applicable emission standards, including Euro 3.
Thanks to its elegant design, proven 16-inch wheels, and high-quality equipment, this model generation was aimed at style-conscious riders looking for a reliable city scooter with a distinctive character.
Model History
After several versions of the Scarabeo 50 with two- and four-stroke engines, the ZD4TG variant was revised and repositioned from 2009 onwards. This generation was primarily equipped with an air-cooled 50cc four-stroke engine, designed mainly for economical and clean urban riding.
The revised model featured a modern look with cleaner lines, new paint options, and a more uniform design. Aprilia continued the Scarabeo tradition – focusing on everyday usability, Italian style, and up-to-date technology. Until 2017, the ZD4TG version was one of the last classic Scarabeo family models with 50cc.
