Model History

With the launch of the ZD4RB variant in 2007, Aprilia added a 125cc model to the Scarabeo family, offering reduced weight and improved ergonomics. It was designed especially for young riders and those looking for a reliable scooter with European style and modern technology for city travel.
Production ended in 2010 in favor of newer platforms. Nonetheless, the Scarabeo Light 125 remains remembered as an accessible and practical everyday scooter.

Technical Details

The Aprilia Scarabeo Light 125 (ZD4RB) was powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine with 124cc displacement. The engine produced about 14 hp (10.3 kW) and reached a top speed of around 100 km/h. Power was delivered via a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The suspension consisted of a telescopic front fork and a rear mono shock absorber. The braking system included a 260 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc. The fuel tank had a capacity of approximately 8.5 liters, and the dry weight was around 134 kg. Fuel consumption ranged from 3 to 3.5 liters per 100 km.

Color Options and Accessories

The Scarabeo Light 125 was available in elegant colors such as gray, black, silver, and occasionally in two-tone paint schemes. Depending on the model year, it could feature contrast-stitched or two-tone seats.
