Model History

With the 2011 facelift, the existing ZD4RB model was revised with subtle visual and functional improvements. These included new color options, modernized instruments, improved finish quality, and ergonomic refinements. The focus remained on achieving a balance between style, comfort, and efficiency in city riding.
Production continued until 2012, after which Aprilia shifted its lineup toward new platforms and drive concepts. This final version of the Light 125 is remembered as a well-rounded evolution of the series.

Technical Details

The Aprilia Scarabeo Light 125 (ZD4RB, 2011–2012) was equipped with an air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine with 124 cc displacement. The engine produced around 14 hp (10.3 kW) and reached a top speed of approximately 100 km/h. Power was delivered via a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The chassis featured a telescopic front fork and a rear mono shock absorber. The braking system included a 260 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc. The fuel tank capacity was about 8.5 liters, and the dry weight was approximately 134 kg. Average fuel consumption ranged from 3 to 3.5 liters per 100 km.

The updated Scarabeo Light 125 came in fresh colors such as pearl white, matte gray, black, and blue. Some models featured two-tone seats with contrast stitching or new decorative elements.
