In 1983, the 80 cc P series produced exclusively for the German market was given the new name "PX Lusso" (known in Italy as "Arcobaleno", which translates as "rainbow"). In addition to visual changes (e.g. the handlebars, which now have space for a larger speedometer, a square cascade and a larger rear light), technical innovations such as a fuel gauge are also introduced. From now on, the two-stroke oil is no longer added directly to the petrol when filling up, but is instead added to the engine via a separate oil tank thanks to separate lubrication. The oil level can be checked at any time using a sight glass positioned on the frame next to the choke lever. One liter of oil is usually sufficient for around 1,000 kilometers. From now on, the ignition lock is combined with the steering wheel lock in its familiar position.
