The Aprilia Mojito 50 Retro (type ZD4PKD0) was produced from 1999 to 2001 and belongs to the first generation of the distinctive Mojito scooters with a retro look. Its striking design, inspired by classic US cruisers, sets it apart from conventional scooters.
With its comfortable seating position, curved cockpit and chrome details, the Mojito Retro quickly became a stylish urban scooter with Italian flair.

Model History

The Mojito 50 Retro was developed in parallel to the Custom version but placed greater emphasis on classic aesthetics. The model code ZD4PKD0 refers to a variant with specific national versions or homologations.
Production ended in 2001. Today, many vehicles from this series are sought after as vintage-style restoration projects or by style-conscious riders.

Technical Details

The Mojito 50 Retro is powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder two-stroke engine with a displacement of 49 cc.
It delivers approx. 3.1 kW (4.2 hp) at 6,500 rpm. Power is transmitted via a continuously variable CVT with centrifugal clutch.
The scooter is equipped with both electric and kick starter. The engine complies with Euro 1 emissions standard.

Chassis and Equipment

The steel tube frame is paired with a classic telescopic fork at the front and a mono shock absorber at the rear.
Braking is handled by a 190 mm front disc brake and a rear drum brake.
10-inch wheels ensure agile handling in urban traffic. Seat height is approx. 760 mm – ideal for smaller riders.
Features include a storage compartment under the seat, chrome elements and a comfortable dual seat.

Color Variants

The ZD4PKD0 was offered in classic retro colours such as black, cream, wine red and light blue.
Whitewall tyres, chrome mirrors and vintage Aprilia branding complete the nostalgic look.
There are no official limited editions documented, but many scooters were individually modified.
