Aprilia - Mojito 50 Retro (1999–2001, ZD4PKU0)

The Aprilia Mojito 50 Retro (type ZD4PKU0) was produced between 1999 and 2001 and belongs to the first generation of the popular Mojito series. With its classically inspired design, numerous chrome details and a relaxed seating position, it combines Italian elegance with urban everyday usability.
The Retro version intentionally uses timeless lines and appeals to riders who value style, comfort and individuality.

Model History

The ZD4PKU0 variant was part of the original Retro lineup and intended for certain markets or homologation purposes.
Technically based on the first Mojito generation, it was offered in a range of colours – from discreet to striking.
Thanks to its classic look, modern technology and cruiser-style ergonomics, the Mojito quickly achieved cult status.

Technical Details

Air-cooled single-cylinder two-stroke engine with 49 cc displacement, approx. 3.1 kW (4.2 hp) at 6,500 rpm.
Automatic CVT transmission with centrifugal clutch – easy to ride without shifting.
Equipped as standard with electric and kick starter. Engine complies with Euro 1 emissions standard.

Chassis and Equipment

Steel tube frame, classic telescopic fork at the front, central mono shock absorber at the rear.
Braking system: 190 mm front disc brake, rear drum brake – standard in this class.
10-inch tyres for great manoeuvrability, seat height approx. 760 mm – also ideal for shorter riders.
Standard features include: helmet compartment under the seat, numerous chrome elements and a comfortable dual seat.

Colour Variants

The Mojito 50 Retro (ZD4PKU0) was available in classic black, cream, pastel blue or dark red.
Whitewall tyres, round chrome mirrors and the retro Aprilia logo highlighted the vintage character.
Official special editions are not documented, though many units were individually customised.
