The SRV 850 was originally launched in 2012 and, at the time, was the most powerful production scooter in the world.
The ZAPM55103 version from model year 2014 is largely identical to previous years, though modernised in areas like paint schemes, equipment and optional accessories.
This generation brought refinements in seating ergonomics and instrumentation, while keeping the proven technical foundation.
It was designed as a high-performance vehicle for sporty touring and long-distance use, competing with models like the Gilera GP800 and BMW C 600 Sport.

Technical Details

Engine, performance and drivetrain

The Aprilia SRV 850 is powered by a liquid-cooled 90° V-twin four-stroke engine with 839 cc displacement.
Maximum output is around **76 hp (56 kW)** at 7,750 rpm, with **76 Nm** of torque at 6,000 rpm – more than enough for dynamic riding, even with a passenger.
Power is transmitted via a stepless CVT automatic gearbox with centrifugal clutch.
The engine meets **EURO 3** emission standards (as of 2014) and offers both strong performance and touring-ready smoothness.
**ABS was not standard** on this model number but was available as an option – however, dual front disc brakes were standard.

The steel tube frame with bolted aluminium subframe provides high stability.
Up front is a 41 mm telescopic fork; the rear uses twin shock absorbers with adjustable preload.
The braking system includes **dual 300 mm front discs** and a **280 mm single rear disc**, each with twin-piston calipers.

Design and Variants

Touring design with sporty elements

Visually, the SRV 850 blends sharp lines with aerodynamic function – inspired by Aprilia's superbike styling.
Twin LED headlamps, windscreen, integrated indicators and a wide rear with luggage space define its appearance.
The cockpit features a digital-analog layout with information on speed, rpm, outside temperature and maintenance intervals.
The SRV 850 was offered in several colours in 2014 – including red, white and matte black.
Optional equipment included a top case, touring screen, heated grips and (model-dependent) ABS.
