Description:
The Vespa 125 Primaver ET3 (VMB1T) represents the technical perfection of the smallframe 125cc models. The abbreviation stands for Elettronica traversi tre, i.e. electronic ignition and three transfer ports. The focus of the improvements is primarily on the technology. Visually, it was mainly the lettering, rally stripes on the front mudguard and side hoods. The first models in 1976 were delivered in denim blue (Max Meyer code 1.298.7228), with a redesigned and much more comfortable seat upholstered in jeans-like imitation leather. The engine has a third overcurrent channel - traversi tre. The compression ratio has been increased from 8.2 to 9.5, resulting in a reduction in the ignition timing from 25° to 20°. The exhaust is strongly reminiscent of that of the SS-50/90 models and is considered the most powerful standard exhaust. The ET3 thus achieves over 7 hp at 6,000 rpm and, at 89 km/h, is the fastest 125cc Vespa of its time. Thanks to the built-in electronic ignition, it was also extremely low-maintenance.
