The Vespa 125 Nuova (VMA1T), which appeared in 1965, was very similar to the V50 and the V90. The jaws are an integral part of the self-supporting sheet steel frame, and the engine is only accessible via a flap, which is installed at an angle of 45°. It is the first 125 cc Vespa with 10-inch tires and self-ventilating drums like the 90 Super Sprint model. The handlebars are the same as on the Vespa Super. The engine has a stroke of 51 mm and a bore of 55 mm. A Dell'Orto SHB 16/16 carburetor is used. The Vespa 125 Nuova was built in approx. 17,000 units until 1967.
