The Vespa 125 Super (VNC1T) was launched in 1965 as the successor to the VNB6T. Its chassis was taken from the GL 150 and fitted with a newly styled front mudguard. The handlebar unit was completely redesigned and would later be used on the Nuova 125, Primavera and ET3 models. A bench seat was available as an optional extra. A clever feature was the central locking system: one key could lock and unlock both the handlebar and toolbox. The Super ran on 8-inch wheels with self-ventilated cast iron drum brakes. The engine was closely based on the VNB6T unit, but featured a modified carburettor that gave it slightly more power. Everyday usability was improved thanks to the use of an external ignition coil. The Super 125 was painted in light green (MaxMeyer code 1.298.6303).
