With the V30T, Piaggio does away with the clumsy linkage gearshift in favor of the more precise cable gearshift still in use today. The exhaust, previously positioned under the luggage compartment jaw, is now positioned transversely between the taverse of the engine swingarm and the rear wheel, for which the frame is adapted accordingly. The fuel tap is no longer operated with the tow hook, but with a fuel tap lever with knob for three positions: closed (C) - open - reserve (R). The effect of the rear brake is improved by a larger diameter brake drum. The footboard is extended to behind the crossbar bolts to make it easier for the passenger to place his feet on it. The dark green saddle cover is closed at the front, so the front seat spring is no longer visible. The handlebar clamp is fitted with 6 rubber plates to dampen vibrations, the headlight on the mudguard is unchanged from the V15T, but the rear light now has a rectangular design. (Source: GSF)
