The Vespa 'Super' continued to be built with the engine already known from the VBB2. A new external ignition coil was fitted to the Vespa Super. This model was built almost unchanged for 14 years, mainly in Indonesia for the Asian market. The frame was also fitted to the Vespa GL at the same time, and the steering head with 115 mm headlight was later also used on the Vespa Nuova/Primavera. The luggage compartment on the left side cover can now no longer be opened with a lever, but has a lock. This can be operated together with the steering lock - with the same key. The brake drums now have fins for better heat dissipation.
