The Vespa GL 150 (VLA1T) from 1963 was the revolutionary and luxurious successor to the VBB. Overall, the GL was larger and much more angular than the VBB. The handlebars feature a trapezoidal headlight. On request, the GL can be ordered directly with a bench seat instead of the single saddle and luggage rack. An option that suits the GL very well. The dark blue of the saddle and lettering perfectly matches the ivory paint of the bodywork (MaxMeyer code 1.298.3909). In keeping with the more angular design, the chrome tail light has also become much more angular. The GL comes on 10-inch tires with the brake drums and brakes of the GS 150 VS5. The engine, on the other hand, is a modification of the VBB1T engine, the transmission ratio is adapted to the changed rolling circumference of the tires, the bore and stroke are retained, the nose piston is sent into well-earned retirement and a domed piston is used. Measures that are reflected in improved elasticity.
